Since childhood, I have had difficulties with my voice, namely nodules on my vocal cords.  I grew up having many sore throats and frequent hoarseness in my voice.  As a licensed massage therapist and yoga teacher, I have been told by many of my mentors to protect my throat chakra, by wearing scarves and dressing in the color blue.  As a healing professional, I am very sensitive to the energies of others.  This is a wonderful gift to have in my work, but I have to guard myself against picking up on the negativity of others.
